We have a new No. 1 single this week with Kenny Chesney's "There Goes My Life," which makes it all the way to No. 1 in just 9 weeks. Toby's "I Love This Bar" drops to No. 2, with George Strait's "Cowboy's Like Us" drops down one spot to No. 3. Montgomery Gentry's "Hell Yeah" moves up one spot to No. 4, even though it lost its bullet last week, and still has no bullet, so most likely, this is as high as it will go. Rounding out the Top 5 is Chris Cagle's "Chicks Dig It." which moves up two spots and is the only other song in the Top 5, other than Kenny's song, with a bullet. I'm predicting Kenny to hold onto the top spot for another week, which Chris' song moves up some and Brooks & Dunn's "You Can't Take The Honky Tonk Out of the Girl" moves into the Top 5.
On the singles chart, Keith Urban's "You'll Think Of Me" is smokin' up the charts, advancing 12 spots from its debut spot last week of No. 59 to No. 47. Kenny Chesney's Christmas song, "All I Want For Christmas Is A Real Good Tan" is also moving up in a big way, going from the debut spot of No. 53 to No. 45 this week. Clay Walker's new tune, "I Can't Sleep" moves up from its debut spot of No. 55 to No. 49.
New on the charts this week is a "You Are" from Chad Brock, which debuts at No. 55. Brad Tyler debuts at No. 57 with "Fridaynitus." T. Graham Brown debuts at No. 58 with "Middle Age Crazy," and another Kenny Chesney Christmas track, "I'll Be Home For Christmas" is getting enough airplay to have it chart at No. 60.
Looking at the album charts, Toby Keith has a firm hold on the top of the chart with Shock'n Y'All. Alan Jackson comes in a No. 2 with Greatest Hits, Vol II. Trace Adkins' new release Comin' On Strong debuts at No. 3, while the Dixie Chicks' Top of the World Live comes in at No. 4 and Kenny Chesney's All I Want For Christmas Is A Real Good Tan is at No. 5.
Other than Trace Adkins' new release, there is Burl Ives' 20th Century Masters: The Best Of Burl Ives - The Christmas Collection debuts at No. 65.
NOTE: All chart rankings are based on the song or album's position on the Billboard Hot Country Singles Chart or Billboard Country Albums Chart for December 20, 2003.
