David Ball - Amigo
Even though Mr. Ball has a distinctive voice, the first time I heard his new song I did not have a clue who was singing. Once the deejay said the name of the Artist, I was ecstatic to realize he was back in business and on the radio again.
From the heartwarming first single, "Riding With Private Malone," which tells of a soldier that died in the war and came back to be a guardian angel of the new owner of the car he used to have, to the sure-to-be future hit tunes, "Loser Friendly" and "Swing Baby," you get a lot of different sounds in one nifty package.
This being David Ball's fifth album (not counting his "Super Hits" disc), he still holds true to his roots and will not let anyone tell him what kind of music to make. He makes what he wants and that is the way it is going to be whether anyone likes it or not.
