Trace Adkins - Dreamin' Out Loud
Trace Adkins was born and raised in Louisiana, and had been part of a gospel group out of high school. He worked as a petroleum engineer, and later decided to move to Nashville to return to his musical aspirations.
Trace was signed to Capitol by Scott Hendricks in 1994. In 1996 he release his debut album, Dreamin' Out Loud. The first single "There's a Girl in Texas" did moderately well, charting at 20, but the second single, "Every Light in the House is On" topped at No. 3, and with the third single, Trace had his first No. 1 hit with "(This Ain't) No Thinkin' Thing."
With songs that appeal to the working man's roots, plus some honky tonk fun, Trace has compiled a great debut album, and one every country fan should consider adding to their collection.
