Guide Review
Kevin Sharp - Measure of a Man
Seemingly out of left field came the surprising debut single by Kevin Sharp. Showcasing a solid voice wrapped around solid, yet very polished production, "Nobody Knows" became a multi-week No. 1 hit on Billboard. The story of Kevin Sharp is a heartfelt one. Told that he was going to die soon, while still a teenager, Kevin asked the Make A Wish Foundation if he could meet pop producer David Foster.

When he did get his chance to Foster, the two became instant friends and miraculously Kevin became cancer free and returned home, bald, to begin his recording career. Impressed by Kevin's singing ability, David helped Kevin secure a record deal with Asylum Records. After his cover of pop group The Tony Rich Project's "Nobody Knows," Kevin followed that up with two smash hit singles called "If You Love Somebody" and "She's Sure Taking It Well."

Sadly, as soon as his career seemed to be rising, it fell with the release of his Love Is CD. Containing no hits, the album quickly sent Kevin packing for a new label. While that CD wasn't a hit, this CD was and is a worthy addition into any fan's collection and is sure to become a part of country music's "pop culture."
